[MPlayer-users] Playing MythTV .nuv files with MPlayer

Hi,
 
Is it possible to play MythTV .nuv files with MPlayer?  It looks like there
is support with -vc nuv but I'm not having any luck.
 
When I try to play a .nuv file with "mplayer -vc nuv ", I just get:
_______________________________________________
 
Playing 1003_20050130133000_20050130140000.nuv.

Exiting... (End of file)
_______________________________________________
 
Before I bombard everyone with extra details I thought I would just ask to
verify whether or not it is even possible.
