[MPlayer-users] Problem Encoding from AVI file to AVI

Hi,

I am using this encoding command line

mencoder -oac lavc -ovc lavc -lavcopts
vcodec=msmpeg4v2 /root/mcmi5.avi -o /root/preview.avi
-endpos 10

To make a preview of the original avi file. And the
system gives me this

And it doesn't encode. I am trying out using different
codecs of lavc like ffv1. But I still can't encode the
avi file. These command lines work fine when I encode
MPEG file

The same type of error message in the line when I use
different codec is

File not found: 'frameno.avi'
Failed to open frameno.avi

AND

[mp2 @ 0x8590280]bitrate 224 is not allowed in mp2
Couldn't open codec mp2, br=224

How can I solve this problem?
