I don't think this will be something people are going to jump on.
There seems to be little interest in this, and generally MPlayer is
more focused on audio/video media, than just audio. If you need a
visualizer, try using XMMS, which should have something almost
identical to AVS (I think it even reads AVS pre-sets). If you use
Windows, then I suggest digging up an old version of WinAMP. 2.95
should be the best option. Low RAM requirements, frugal CPU usages,
and, of course, AVS.
