Sounds like you just need a simple MPEG demuxer. I know transcode does 
this, but I think you can find a simple demuxing application too that 
will do the trick. MPlayer, if you look at some of the documentation, 
seems to have a few issues with exporting MPEG video at the moment. It 
excels with AVI, but in MPEG...
