Googling would help :-)

Either use option
Section "Screen"
  Option "XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps"

this could help with xorg/xfree drivers, but ignored by NVIDIA driver.
Or use X11 with 16bpp instead of 24/32
Section "Screen"
  DefaultDepth 16

Or try both solutions together just to be sure ;-)
