[MPlayer-users] Sound problems

Hi all, 

M-Audio Revolution 7.1 with OSS drivers from Open Sound.  The SPDIF
out is connected to my reciever.  I can play mpeg files using
gmplayer, and they work perfect.  However, when I try to run from
command prompt, the sound quality is very bad, as if sound was very
low sample rate.  This is the command I use:

mplayer -vo dfbmga -ao oss:/dev/dsp4 mpeg.file

Is there anyway to find out what the parameters gmplayer use to play
the file?  I would appreciate any help!
