[MPlayer-users] DV stills to pictures

Hello.


I have some stills on DV tape recorded on a Sony PAL camcorder.
Each still takes approximately five seconds on the tape; from
each such "scene", I'd like to extract a single picture with the
best possible quality.

What command line should I use to achieve that?

One thing (I think), in order to make use of all the available
data, is to first deinterlace the "movie".  What is the best
filter?

Also, which image format should I export into?

Any other suggestions/recommendations?
