[MPlayer-users] Lirc Mplayer and WinTV Nova-T

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I don't seem to have a file
called rc.local. I am using debian Sid Unstable, so I don't know if this
is significant.
As I said in my previous post I did a little research and found a site
that provided two files which I appear to need:
http://staff.dstc.edu.au/croy/mythtv/lircd.conf
and
http://staff.dstc.edu.au/croy/mythtv/lircrc
for lirc and my TV card. These are the correct versions for my card.
(WinTV Nova-T). But Mplayer gives no clue *where* to put them. My home
directory is simply /home/raid517 so should I just place these files in
/home/raid517?
Is this really all I need to do?
