[MPlayer-users] Problem displaying the gui

I've build and installed on a Solaris box. The problem is, I do not see
any gui displayed. The only information that seems strange is, that
mplayer seems to be trying to find a file, gui.conf, which seems to be
nowhere to be found. Following is environment information:

 uname -a
SunOS zarduz 5.9 Generic_117171-08 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Blade-100

libc: /usr/lib/libc.so.1

gcc:
 gcc -v
Reading specs from
/home/msaltz/player/usr/local/bin/../lib/gcc/sparc-sun-solaris2.9/3.4.3/specs
Configured with: ./configure
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.4.3

AS:
as: Sun WorkShop 6 update 2 Compiler Common 6.2 Solaris_9_CBE 2001/04/02

gtk:
version is 1.2.10
glib:
version is 1.2.10
png:
version is 1.2.7

I do not see any gui displayed. I only see the following printed after
starting:

MPlayer 1.0pre5-3.4.3 (C) 2000-2004 MPlayer Team

----------
Thats it! at this point, it seems to go to sleep. If I do a ^c, mplayer
stops and does display an gui error message for interupt, so it does
seem to be able to do some gui displays.

Any help appreciated!
Mike
