[MPlayer-users] Greek Subtitles reloaded

Hi all,

I have come further with my subtitling project, but now I get the following 
problem:

I have downloaded the greek fonts from the mplayer site and installed them in 
my ~/.mplayer/font directory. Then I run 

mencoder 01.avi -sub 01.srt -subfont-text-scale 3 -subfont-encoding ISO-8859-7 
-font ~/.mplayer/font/font.desc -vf expand=0:0:0:0:1 -o 01-subs.avi -oac copy 
-ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vhq:vbitrate=880

Now the following thing happens:
mencoder starts recoding ok until it comes to the first subtitle. From then on 
the terminal spits out error messages like:

the output ends like:

The size of the final file is only 85 mb when it should be ca. 350 mb, when 
watching the movie the transcoded bit up to the first subtitle is ok. From 
then on the subtitles appear on a black screen (the movie is gone) and are in 
fact refreshed as it seems at their correct times, however only the new title 
is redrawn with some leftovers from older subtitles. REmember, behind the 
subtitles there is no picture only blackness.

Any idea whats going wrong?

BTW, the subtitles look really neato (hey, THINK positive, man!)
