well, now i understand! i had one file that worked correctly with 2.5GiB
and another that failed with 1.5GiB!
currently i'm using the cvs version to avoid this bug.
but there is this this other problem that bugs me. i always have to
"fix" the avis after encoding by using "mencoder -ovc copy -oac copy" if
i want to use them with xine or ogmmerge.
i use xine 0.9.23 (gentoo ebuild) and ogmmerge v1.4 (gentoo ebuild).
xine won't play the unfixed file at all and crashes upon seeking and
ogmmerge only takes the first chunk. after fixing the file like
described above both tools work correctly! it could be a bug in these
two programs as well, but then it shouldn't work at all.
thanks
michael
