[MPlayer-users] dvd tv-out ?

Hi !

I have an old Gateway 9100 Solo laptop with trident
cyber 9397 card. Tv out via video composite port works
all right in the text console and I can watch
avi-files
as 

mplayer -vo vesa file.avi

But when I try to watch dvd or mpeg2 files tv-out
doesn't 
work and the movie is displayed on the laptop's LCD
screen instead. 

Any ideas how to get tv output to work with dvds ?
