[MPlayer-users] mencoder crashes when no size given

Hi,

I recently upgraded from mplayer 0.9.2 to 1.0pre3, and have now the
following phenomena:

The following command crashes:

mencoder mf://\*.jpg -mf type=jpeg:fps=15 -o x0179_MVI.AVI -ovc lavc
-lavcopts vcodec=mjpeg:vhq

but this command does work:

mencoder mf://\*.jpg -mf w=320:h=240:type=jpeg:fps=15 -o x0179_MVI.AVI
-ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mjpeg:vhq

The only difference is that I give the size of the images/resulting film
(this did work without with mencoder 0.9.2).

The output of the first command also shows that mencoder actually
recognizes the size:

I have a workaround, so no hassle, but I wanted to notify, as I couldn't
find the same problem in the mailing lists.

I have SuSE 8.2 with Mplayer package from packman.links2linux.de.

Thanks, Eric
