[MPlayer-users] Monitor Aspect

Hello,

  I recently installed Linux on a Sony Vaio TR3A. 

I'm having an issue with MPlayer and it's handling of aspect ratios.

Anyways, if I allow mplayer to default, and I go full screen, the image is
stretched too wide.

If I specify "-monitoraspect 1.666", then the ratio is right, however there is a
whole lot of extra space around the image; it could be scaled larger.

The native screen resolution is 1280x768.

Any suggestions?
