[MPlayer-users] deinterlace+horiz scale

Hello,

In mencoder, I want to do *interpolating* deinterlacing (pp=li or pp=ci)
*and* horizontal-only scaling (720x576->768x576).

I want to do it in realtime, and compared to "-vf pp=li,scale=768:576"
need just about 2-3 extra fps, so optimization is important.

The optimal algorhitm would probably be, drop one field, then enlarge
the result to 768x576. But I could not find the video filter for "drop
one field". Is one available?
