[MPlayer-users] Bug: can't compile mplayer.

This error happens with last release (1.0-pre4), and with yesterday's 
CVS snapshot (20040531), so I guess it's an unreported bug, yet.

When I compile mplayer, this is what I get:

I've been searching for file linux/version.h, and it doesn't exist. It 
existed in kernel 2.4.x, but seems that it disappeared in 2.6.x (I am 
using 2.6.6). Can this be the problem?

* kernel 2.6.6 (compiled by myself, no additional patches, just vanilla)
* libc 2.3.2
* gcc 3.3.3
* ld 2.14.90.0.7 20031029
* binutils 2.14.90.0.7 20031029
