Hello Fabio,

Yeah, I got that much from some private reactions I got to this request. Sad
perhaps, but I guess I'll just have to hook up a few more HDs to my computer,
and make sure the fileserver I'm planning to buy can stash quite of few HDs
(my current computer can use 8 IDE devices). Thanx for the clarification
though. I'm still a tad new to the whole video theory thing.

The idea is to eventually just stream or play all DVDs and AVI files directly
from a Linux fileserver, using some simple Linux multimedia playback devices
hooked onto my network and TVs. I currently use a 100 Mb/s ethernet
connection, but I'm considering an upgrade to 1 Gb/s in the future. Add to
that MAME functionality (yes, I'm also building an arcade cabinet, but I want
console functionality as well:) using a couple of gamepads, and I should be
having some fun. When I say 'I', I of course mean my family, friends, and
myself. ;)
