hi list,
mplayer does support playing embedded subtitles in containerformats that
support embedded subtitles as ogm or mkv. however if one does not specify
either -slang or -sid nothing will be displayed, not even a warning or a
message, that mplayer found something. it would be nice to mention this
behaviour either in the docs/manpages and/or to let mplayer throw out a
message. (at least it throws such a message with mkv, but not ogm)
furthermore:
in the manpage its written that -slang en would use english-subtitles (if
available) ... for me only -slang eng works. is this a typo in the docs, the
code or my fault?
regards,
mathias
