>I use MPlayer1.0Pre5 under Linux and try to play some mj2 files that are upload some sample files somewhere or to ftp.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/incoming if its a new container format (for mplayer) then it might take a while to get support... dont forget to bug xine and videolan ppl too :)
