Well.. simply using today's CVS (20040713, some days ago it wasn't too 
stable, now it's better).
Start your PC with the tvout cable attached, with vga=0 or 1 or 2, and 
standing in a tty give this command:

mplayer -vo cvidix -zoom -x 800 -y 600 -fs /home/yourmovie.mpg
