[MPlayer-users] playback rate problem with x86_64

Hi all,
Perhaps somebody could help me with this...

I am having a problem with frame and audio rates being too fast during 
playback. This seems
to be limited to non-MPEG file formats, although I haven't tested all 
formats and some
wmv and avi formats display and sound correct.

I'm pretty sure it's a 64 bit or SMP problem because the same files 
played on a 32 bit
single processor machine display correctly.  I'm running on an older 
dual Opteron system using
the 1.0pre4 release (no CVS updates yet) with the configure line..... 
(something missing???)

./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib64 --enable-gui 
--enable-largefiles --with-x11libdir=/usr/X11R6/lib64

the code compiles, installs and runs without any problems. The frame 
rate and audio displayed
when the file starts appears to be correct.The output from the player 
follows below.

In addition, if I convert the file to mpeg using ffmpeg (also compiled 
64 bit) the mpeg playback
is also too fast.
