I want to use mencoder to encode various formats of video in the hopes of
getting it onto an SD card so I can view them on my digital camera (Canon
Powershot SD100)

The video is in MJPG format with straight PCM audio at 15 fps and 640x480
resolution. I am having trouble encoding to MJPG video though. The codec
is in place an configured in my codecs.conf file at
/usr/local/etc/mplayer/codecs.conf

I am trying a command like "mencoder file1.mpg -ovc vfm:mjpg -oac pcm
-ofps 15 out.avi"

Even this fails telling me that it can't load mjpg. When I use the switch
"-ovc help" it lists vfm but says only avid is supported. How can I get it
to encode to MJPG?
