[MPlayer-users] choppy playback on dell inspiron 5100

anyone else experiencing jerky playback with recent cvs builds on a dell
inspiron 5100? every few seconds or so it seems to pause momentarily. mpegs,
avis, high or low resolution movies, fullscreen or windowed, playback is
choppy.  i've tried sdl [for ao and vo], xv, x11, dga, -framedrop, alsa, oss...
still choppy no matter what i throw at mplayer. this is weird cuz i'm compiling
the same builds on a celeron 500 desktop too and playback of low resolution
movies on the desktop is fluid.

i'm using recent cvs builds of libavcodec and installed most codecs. anyone
else having similar issues with an inspiron 5100? any tips/pointers would be
appreciated.
