[MPlayer-users] Mplayer rawvideo y8

Hi, 

I want to play an mpeg4 alpha/segmentation (8 bits per pixels) file with
mplayer and am trying to do so with the following:

mplayer -rawvideo on:w=176:h=144:y8 container_obj_2_qcif.seg

However it bombs out with the following message:

Cannot find codec matching selected -vo and video format 0x20203859.

I'm guessing y8 is missing from my codecs.conf file, which it is -
though I'm not sure how to generate a correct entry. If this is the
entry for I420 what do I need to change or even what does each field
correspond to:

videocodec rawi420
  info "RAW I420"
  status working
  driver raw
  format 0x0 0x30323449 ....... fourcc code for I420?
  format 0x20776172............ ???
  fourcc i420,I420
  fourcc IYUV,iyuv
  out I420,IYUV


I've search the archives for a solution but still can't get it to work. 


Anyone have any thoughts? I would really appreciate any assistance!
