[MPlayer-users] ffv1.c:465: internal compiler error

I'm getting an error compiling current CVS.
I can work around it by manually repeating that operation, without the 
'-O4' flag.  Is there a known problem with the compiler?
What should be done here?

Compiler is  gcc version 3.3.2 (Mandrake Linux 10.0 3.3.2-6mdk).
