thankyou Kevin, 
yes I am using the moz plugin, with IceWM and xfree86, but the website, 
although helpful, does not address this type of issue.  I would have thought 
it could be done with an "onclick" binding or something, which would be more 
relevent here as opposed to the plug-in forums.
(i could be wrong......)
