Are you watching them on a TV or on your monitor? SVCD is really bad
quality, but so is a TV set, and the TV will cover up the artifacts
quite well. You can improve the situation somewhat by using
postprocessing: -vf pp=vb/hb/dr. But it would be better to get good
mpeg4 rips instead of SVCD.
