[MPlayer-users] Mplayer Encoding Failure

This has always worked for me with previous installs of mencoder-686 and
mplayer but I upgraded mplayer to the cvs in the last 48-hours for
better embedded multimedia functionality.

I compiled with fakeroot debian/rules binary

Mencoder is failing with no support for libavcodec which is installed.
How do I manually edit the config.h or config.mak to tell it to enable
support so I can recompile using fakeroot blah, blah for a debian
system?

Here is error:

mpierce at Mother:~/DVD-Rips/OpenRange$ mencoder vcd://1 -oac copy -ovc
lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vpass=1:vbitrate=1950 -o OpenRange.avi -vop
scale=720:405 -sws 2
