Hello.
First i want to congratulate the MPlayer team for
their excellent work.

I use mplayer for a long time and it works great.
I have a collection of movies and i didn't have
a problem not even in one of them.

Now i got a dvd ("Dead zone" to be specific) and i cannot see the subtitles.
firstly i thought it was a bad dvd but Powerdvd in windows and ogle in linux play the subtitles correctly.

My mplayer.conf is the following

##
## MPlayer config file
##
vo=xv
ao=esd
fs=no
vm=no
framedrop=yes
cache=8192
slang=el
alang=en

When i do "mencoder dvd://1 -oac copy -ovc copy -vobsubout subs -vobsuboutid el -o /dev/null" it also doesn't dump the subtitle stream.

I am posting my mplayer log.

As you see it finds the subtitles as sid=0 but
i don't see them.

My second question is about mencoder.
When i use "-sub subs.srt" to encode a sub
in the movie it works perfectly, but when
i do "-vobsub subs" it says that "-vobsub is not a mencoder option".

Isn't there any way to encode vobsub subtitles in a movie ?

I am sorry for my long post.
Thank you for your time.
