[MPlayer-users] best graphical card for mplayer

I am about to buy a new graphical card for my putter and i want to know 
what is the best choice from the mplayer-user view.
I work under linux and use mplayer fairly often.
But it seems like no "modern card" are supported, I hope i'm wrong.
Please send me name of modern graphical card IE agp 8X that are well 
reconise by linux and get graphical accelaration and all the stuff.
