Hello, mplayer cvs version as of Sept 2, does not detect the static libavcodec library on Mac OS X 10.2. However mplayer previous versions detected the static library correctly. FFmpeg cannot compile a shared lib on darwin without some patching via fink, however I did not use fink to compile ffmpeg. Dave
