Dear A'rpi!

I am using your MPlayer for 2 years
(from v.0.50,almost all of 0.90-pre's and rc's, 0.91, 0.92) and have tested
it on many different boxes with Linux & FreeBSD.
And I'm VERY thankful to You for this masterpiece.
MPlayer can even play big AVIs (DivX) on my ancient Pentium MMX-166 under
Linux well, when others, using fucking M$ Windows, cannot watch these videos
on their PII's and K6-2's. Under FreeBSD your player can play videos
satisfactorily (without sound, however) even on 486-DX4-120 !

But, when I have compiled 1.0pre2, there was one unpleasant thing: MPlayer
auto-loads SW-Scaling filter and this slows down the output. And I haven't
found in ./configure and Docs, how to disable auto-loading of software
scaling filter. When I tried different -vo's, -ao's, -autosync, -vf scale
(with different parameters, I haven't found how to disable it) , -sws 4 ,
fs=no in config - it didn't help, the video output was too slow :(
And only the solution I have found, was to switch back to 0.92

How can I disable auto-loading of software scaling in 1.0pre2 ?

OS: Red Hat Linux 9 (kernel-2.6.0-test9)
gcc-3.2.2
CPU: Pentium MMX - 166 MHz
RAM: 96 MB
Video: Matrox Millennium II PCI 8 MB
Sound: Crystal CS 4281
XFree-4.3.0 ( -vo xv doesn't work with videocard :( )
svgalib-1.9.17 (patched for kernel-2.6)

The best result shows MPlayer-0.92 with -vo svga, -ao oss (ALSA OSS emulation)
-vo dga|sdl|vesa|fbdev , -ao arts|sdl in different combinations show good
output too.
-ao alsa9 plays audios well, but with videos it works bad.

Best regards
