[MPlayer-users] NOVIRUS Jerky playback of some avi files

Hi All.
I've done some more experiments and I think the problem is sound related.
I installed the latest version of xine and there the video is ok but the
sound is jumpy:
pause every second or so.
Then I tried mplayer with the -nosound option and the video playback is
smooth!
Any ideas what I might try updating?
I haven't noticed any other sound related problems.
Thanks
Conleth
