[MPlayer-users] scaling

I'm doing an application where I embed mplayer... now, the problem is that
when I first run the application, the output doesn't scale to the size of the
window where it is outputing, when I resize the window by hand (with the
mouse), mplayer fits in the window (it scales maintining the aspect ratio).
I will make the maintainance of the aspect ratio an option (that's done by
- -noaspect, right ?).
But what's more important for me now is the scaling... is the scaling used
when I resized the window, software scaling ? how should I make the same
efect at start up so the video is scaled at start up ? with -vop scale= ? or
what ?
