Wrong (sigh). He downloaded a screener of Matrix Reloaded, which was 
encoded with XVID, and tried to play it back in the DivX-Player or 
Windows Media Player with a DivX-Codec, which doesn't work, of course.

Well, sorry, but this is the wrong list. MPlayer has *nothing* to do 
with either MediaPlayer or DivX-Playa. Aside from the fact that it can 
play back DivX and WindowsMedia-Files. And Quicktime, and RealPlayer, 
and...   continue ad nausaem
