[MPlayer-users] Jerky Playback Due to Undecoded B-Frames?

First of all, I am using the windows version of mplayer, and, this is my first post here. So be nice.

I get quite jerky playback with xvid and odivx sources. As it seems it depends on the source having b-frames or not. Sources without b-frames play fine. I have tried to en/disable the decoders in the codec.config file but nothing but the default would work. When commetning out the default decoder mplayer claims that the codec is not installed. For this reason I put the win32 codec pack in the codec directory and after that in the mplayer directory, to no avail.                                            

AS you can see below I already use the 'double' switch.

my config file:

vo=directx
ao=win32
framedrop=no
vop=yuy2  # this is because my matrox does not support tv-out in yv12
outfmt=yuy2 # same here
double=yes
