[MPlayer-users] Interfacing with MPlayer

I've found that using the -really-quiet command sometimes prevents mplayer 
from "playing" when running it without it works like a charm. its almost like 
mplayer won't play unless it can output some of this info, the same sometimes 
happens with just -quiet too, though not as often.

Has anyone else noticed this? I only really use it when outputing through my 
hollywood Plus card(dxr3) on my mediaserver, but I can try with doing it on 
my desktop too.
