Hello,

Mplayer isn't able to get video mode details when using the vesa:vidix
video output driver. It used to work in my old pc with the same video
adapter. I'm not sure if i did something wrong, or if my system in
incompatible with mplayer :)

Anyway, here is what happens:
----
$ su
# /usr/local/bin/mplayer -vo vesa:vidix -bpp 16 -vop \
    format=YV12,expand=800:600,scale=740:-2 test.avi -v -v -v > output
: No such file or directory
Failed to open /dev/rtc: No such device (mplayer should be setuid root
 or /dev/rtc should be readable by the user.)
libdha: DHA kernelhelper failed: No such file or directory
libdha: DHA kernelhelper failed: No such file or directory
----

Do i need libdha to work? I don't think i ever installed the
kernelhelper before on my old system.

the output file ends with:
----

It seems to stop somewhere in osdep/lrmi.c and i can't figure out why it
does that or what I am doing wrong. I've attached my system details and
the gzipped and somewhat shortened output file since it was huge, but i
thought this verbosity level (3) might be useful here. I also included
some gdb output.

Thanks,
Emiel

P.S. I am not subscribed to this list, so i'll be reading the online
archive but i would appreciate a CC on any reply, thanks.
