[MPlayer-users] 6 channels volume decreae/increase

I have problems decreasing/increasing the sound
with keys <0> and <9> if watching dvds with:
mplayer -dvd 1 -channels 6 -cache 8192 .

Nothings happens except osd volume bar shows
increase/decrease. Using "-channels 2" it works fine.

My config:
mplayer: 0.90rc5-3.3
sound system: 6 channels analog
soundcard: SB Live 5.1 digital
driver: current from opensource.creative.com

I've allready googled and searched the mail archive.
Anybody out there with the same prob or any suggestions ?
