[MPlayer-users] interesting encoding thread on slashdot

Hi!

There is an interesting thread on /. at the moment about the pros and
cons of different codecs:

It's an interesting read because there are a lot of insightful
comments that explain some encoding basics like quantizer, qpel etc,
especially in this thread:

If you are already an encoding guru, you probably know it all already,
but I actually learned a few things there.
