[MPlayer-users] mplayer GNU/Linux PowerPC problems:configure script and xvidix

I just compiled the sources from cvs as requested to fill a bug.

1) The configure script doesn't recognize the cpu because the
/proc/cpuinfo structure is different than the expected one.
It ends up using a wierd -O4 optimization flag with the usual -pipe
-ffast-math and -fomit-frame-pointer (the latter has almost no sense on ppc)
the produced mplayer anyway works almost ok using sdl xv and x11 vo.

2) The radeon xvidix on the other hand produces a wierd "tile - mirrored
tile" effect that probably means a missing or a double byteswap.
