I have been using mplayer for a couple of months w/o a glitch. Up until now it has had 100% success rate. However, the latest movie I rented, "In the Bedroom" does not play. I can play the previews fine, but the movie video is scrambled. I have tried this on two different machines, (600MHz and 950MHz) with the same result. The command I issue is "mplayer -dvd 5." The output is as follows:
CPU: Intel Celeron 2/Pentium III Coppermine,Geyserville (Family: 6, Stepping: 6)
Detected cache-line size is 32 bytes
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 1 SSE2: 0
