[MPlayer-users] aspect ratio change in 1920x1080 seq.

I'm using mplayer (a somewhat old version) to play a raw YUV 1920x1080
(progressive) experimental sequence.  The command line is:


   mplayer -rawvideo on:w=1920:h=1080:fps=60 toys_and_calendar.yuv


It plays just fine (actually, too slow, but that's an I/O issue)
except that the displayed aspect ratio has been changed: it's too
narrow so things look tall and skinny.

If this is a (fixed?) bug please let me know.  Seems I've read
something about aspect ratio changes with 1920x1080 material but
I can't find it either on the net or in the docs.

I've tried fooling around with `-aspect' and `-vop scale' to no avail.

I would love to know what "aspect: Warning: no suitable new res found!" means
Is it because the displayed sequence is too big for my screen?
How to overcome this?

Any help will be most appreciated.
