Try Ogle (http://www.dtek.chalmers.se/groups/dvd/news.shtml) for dvd's where
menu's are a must - it works amazingly well.

Peronally, I find menu's get in the way of the content. I've never needed more
than "mplayer -dvd 1" to get what I want out of a DVD on my PC.

If I want to watch all the extras with a spiffy interface I use my home
theatre player.
