What I need to achive (in case there's a better way) is to get a screenshot of
a video at a given frame... curently I'm doing this:
mplayer -frames 50 -vo png -z 1 -ss 32 video.mpg
I'm getting 50 frames because the first ones are scrambled (because of
compretion) and because since I can't tell mplayer to start playing at a
given frame, but at a given second, I'll have to do some calculations using
the fps and the time and compensate latter.
The problem with that (aside that I prefer to just tell mplayer to output the
given frame instead of doing time/frame calculations) is that for some
videos, it out puts 50 pngs, but for some others, it outputs 18, or 19, ro
20. Do you know why does it do this ?
Thank you.
