[MPlayer-users] Sluggish DVD playback

I have checked DOCS and FAQ and List Archive re this.

I am running MX2200 Athlon, 512 DDR, ASUS graphics card 6X 64 MB with 16X DVD 
on hdd, Linux SuSE 8.2 The screen is SAMSUNG 17" 173v TFT LCD. 

When I play dvd it is slightly jerky, fast slow, sound is OK.

I have checked MTTR and this is

I have DME set in BIOS at the max 6.

I have tried -cache option at the max kbs 65536.

Still the same slight sluggishness.

Any advice greatly appreciated
