At my place of work we have a integrated email and voicemail system that
sends users via email a audio recording of any voicemail messages that
they receive.

Unfortunately the voicemail messages are in .asf format and I cannot
seem to get them to play.

I have installed mplayer and can use it to listen to most types of audio
and video OK.

When I try to listen to the voicemail clip, I get no sound and the
following output:

It would seem to detect the file type OK and has the necessary codec to
play it but no sound comes out. I have checked the file with Windows
Media Player and it is fine.

What can I do to play it in mplayer (or any other application) ??

Any help gladly received

Regards
