I'm using current CVS MPlayer and Linux 2.4.21 with Nvidia driver 
version 1.0-4363. I was using 2.4.20 until recently. Have you compiled 
the Nvidia kernel module wrappers for your particular kernel? If not, 
that could be an incompatibility.
