[MPlayer-users] fb0 rights

Out of the box I get:
fbdev: Can't open /dev/fb0: Permission denied
crw-------    1 root     root      29,   0 Jan 30 04:24 /dev/fb0

and if I open it up (not a good idea, but for testing)
fbdev: Can't open /dev/fb0: No such device
crwxrwxrwx    1 root     root      29,   0 Jan 30 04:24 /dev/fb0

I am using kernel 2.4.21, i810 video compiled in (not in modules),
X is not running (I can if that will make things better.)
