[MPlayer-users] how many graphiccards can mplayer handle at the same time?

hi,

i need an urgent information here:

how many graphiccards can mplayer handle at the same time?

given is a board with up to 8 pci-slots and a decent processor like pentium
4 3ghz or similar and plenty ram.
i would use matrox graphiccards with tv-out, since that is needed.

question: how many independend videos (mpeg2 or mpeg4) would i be able to
play at the same time. each video has to go to its own graphiccard/tv-out.

as i always understood, mplayer should be able to handle as many
videos/cards as i have pci-slots, but#
a, i might be wrong here
b, the pci bus might overload at some point.

can anybody reading here give me some more info?
